Fact:  MESA is a free public school — no tuition, no fees, no selective admissions. The “charter” part means more flexibility to meet this community’s actual needs.

Fact: The neighborhood school closed.  Not only a public elementary but a private school, as well.  Families already lost their neighborhood option. MESA is creating a new choice where none existed — in an area that felt forgotten. This is expansion, not competition.

Fact: The trips and the classroom learning work together. Expeditionary Learning is a proven instructional model where scholars tackle real problems through investigation and hands-on work. The trips are the curriculum — not the reward for it.
